FOX,Mrs.Wylodine "Doll Baby,age 88, passed away Thursday,December 24,2020,at her home in Idlewild,MI.Visitation Monday,January 4,2021 from 12noon-2pm at St.Ann Catholic Church 1001 Michigan Ave.Baldwin,MI 49304.Interment immediately following the visitation at Webber Township Cemetery.A Video tribute will begin at 7pmEST/6pmCST{link forthcoming] Wylodine was affectionately known as Mama,Nanny,Aunt Doll and Doll Baby.She was born April 6,1932 in Crenshaw, MS, to the union of the late Irvin Webb,Sr. and Mary L.{Macon} Webb-Derrick. As an adult she attended. Baldwin High School {Baldwin ,MI} where she received her GED.She was married to Waverly C. Fox, Sr,of Crenshaw,MS and later married Sonny Simmons of Newark,NJ. Wylodine mothered six children.It was widely known that she had a love and passion for music and was a talented,soulful vocalist.She built a legacy of music,passing the love of music down through the generations in the family. She worked in the food service industry for many years in multiple capacities,. including owning her own restaurant. She was known to volunteer her time and services to various programs to feed her community. Her family and friends were able to reap the benefits with her famous 7-up pound cake[affectionately called "Nanny-cake"} and any sort of soul food you can imagine,she could deliciously prepare.Wylodine is survived by her three loving daughgters, Caroline D. Fox,Annice {Fox} Harrell and Vedra {Fox] Gant; two sons,Waverly C.Fox,Jr.,and Rodney L.Fox; two brothers,Irvin Webb,Jr. and Dank Webb; 28 grandchildren 40 great-grandchildren.A host other relatives and friends.Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by both spouses Waverly C.Fox,Sr. and Sonny Simmons , a son Kevin Fox ,grandparents Willie and Emma Webb, Captain and Annie Macon two brothers, Willie V.Webb and Otho L.Webb.Wylodines's life was full of music,family,cooking and serving the Lord.She was committed to witnessing and teaching others about the power of the Holy Spirit and living life to please the Lord.We confidently believe that this committment has prepared the way for her to enter the church triumphant and can only imagine that she is singing with the heavently host.
